How to get tourist Australia Visa (from Nigeria)
The type of visa required by a Nigerian to go on a tourism trip from Nigeria to Australia is known as the Visitor visa (subclass 600). Please, find below, a step-wise description of the process for getting this type of visa.

STEP 1: Complete visa application form
The Australia Visa application form can be found at the URL: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1419.pdf. Print out the form, read included instructions carefully and fill the print-out completely, legibly and accurately.
STEP 2: Gather all relevant documentation

Compile the requirements listed below together:

Completed Australia Visa application form;

Recent passport photograph (taken within the last six months);

Visa application fee of 130 AUD (Australian dollars) (as at 2014)

STEP 3: Submit your visa application

Next, take all the requirements compiled in step 2 and proceed to your nearest visa application centre (see appendix). During this visit, the following activities will be done:

Your biometric details (including fingerprints and photograph) will be captured. The implication of this is thatyou will have to be at the application centre in person;

You will pay both the administrative fee and the Australia Visa application fee will be paid;



Your application (all required documents) will be submitted.

After submission, your application will be forwarded to the Australian High Commission for processing. After visa processing is complete and the outcome of the application determined, you can pick up the application at the same application centre where it was submitted.

While waiting for visa processing, you can contact the Visa and Immigration section of the Australian High Commission, Pretoria via e-mail: immigration.pretoria@immi.gov.au for updates on your application. The office should respond to your enquiries within 48 hours of asking.
